Nicole Hoffman is a Junior (Grade 11) at Clearwater High School in the Class of 2017. After making a cameo appearance in the fourth season, she became a recurring character in the fifth. She is very practical and savvy, but has a wild streak and craves adventure due to her conservative upbringing. Not one to turn down an opportunity, she is up for anything, even if it's not a smart idea. She is close friends with Wendy McGee, Emily Gardner, and Adrianna Jupe. She is portrayed by Emma Kenney.

In Ultraviolence, she walks in on her first day of Clearwater and looks obviously new, capturing the attention of Matt. After he approaches her and they introduce themselves, he puts his arm around her and tells her he'll show her around and not to worry. She awkwardly moves his arm off of her and tells him she toured the campus and knows where she's going. Matt is embarrassed and says he'll see her around, but she tells him they'll see, walking away quickly because she's freaked out by him.
